EE.L. Winston aka Winston is a man who has found using his voice to speak loudly and making his presence known empowers him, but also creates space for others. Winston wears so many hats. He is a minister at Out of the Box Ministries in Little River, SC, the founder of the Lambda Zeta Phi Nu Fraternity as well as the Lambda Gamma Omega Nu fraternity, and is co-founder of the Lambda Nu Dynasty, Inc.
Through his work with Lambda Nu, Winston also started Tranzformation NC, a non-profit organization seeking to spread hope in the Trans community by providing various aspects to make space for Trans people, such as, support groups, gender affirming materials, supporting Trans students for back to school, and soon to come out an anthology.. Additionally,
Winston is a regular contributor to Blaque/Out Magazine, has a couples coaching business with
his wife, and has started a podcast, “Love Lives In Us”.
Keinan Carpenter (he/him) is a Baltimore-born, Chicago-based black man with trans experience. He holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. He is an advanced-standing candidate for a Master of Social Work at the University of Chicago, with a focus on integrating health, mental health, and social care. He has experience in public speaking, community engagement, trauma-informed care, and mentorship. Keinan is the Founder & CEO of the Trans Masculine Alliance Sports Club (TMASC), a space for BIPOC transmasc individuals and their allies to practice healing through exercise. Keinan also serves as an appointed board member of the Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association.
His work has been recognized through fellowships with the Human Rights Campaign’s Trans Justice Initiative and the Council of Social Work Education, as well as through publications in the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Reader, and the Transgender Law Center. Keinan is committed to Afrocentric leadership, mentorship, and trans-aligned wellness.
Shateer “Tee” Douglas is an African American man of Transgender experience, activist, and artist from Niagara Falls, New York. Growing up as the youngest of six in a close-knit family, Tee developed a strong sense of community and social justice early on.
Tee’s journey in advocacy began in his early twenties after moving to Buffalo, where he discovered a passion for Drag King performance, music, and advocacy. He now serves as the Transgender Youth Coordinator at the Pride Center of Western New York, supporting transgender youth as they navigate challenges and embrace their identities.
A dedicated community leader, Tee is the Board President of the Buffalo Niagara LGBTQ+ History Project and serves on the Board of Directors for Gender Equality New York, a trans-led organization committed to advancing gender equity through education, advocacy, and policy.
Trevor Ncube is a Zimbabwean-born program strategist, technologist, and trans advocate based in Maryland, US. As Strategic Program Manager at SameSame (SiyaFanaFana), he helps build and deliver digital mental-health and wellbeing programs for LGBTQI+ young people across the Global South, programs that have reached thousands of young people across four African countries, offering crucial support where being queer is illegal or dangerous. His work has long centered trans and gender-diverse communities, from advocacy in Zimbabwe with Trans Research Education and Advocacy to co-founding House of Esther, an organization supporting Black African trans and gender-diverse asylum seekers and migrants in the US. To the NBTMN board, Trevor brings an international, Pan-African perspective, lived experience as a trans man, and deep expertise in trans health, technology, and community- and programme-building, in service of the network's vision of Black trans-masculine health, advocacy, and joy.
